Vera has gone to be with her Lord, having died peacefully on March 21, 2024. She was born Vera Mae Green in Bibb County, Georgia on February 24, 1924. She was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. Vera was preceded in death by her beloved husband G.B. "Eddie" (Jeep) Edge of 57 years. They often opened their home to family and friends for good home-cooked food, fun and laughter. Vera was a talented seamstress, making all of their beautiful square-dancing outfits as well as many of the creations her children and grandchildren wore while growing up. She also enjoyed upholstering in her garage for family. Vera and Eddie were active in their motorhome club, always taking their little dogs, Misty or Oakey, along with them, sitting on the dash. Vera is survived by two children, son, Ronnie (Pam) Edge, and daughter, Lennis (Chuck) DeBartolomeis. She loved and pampered four grandchildren as well, Eric, Eden, Shanna and Chase. Vera was also blessed with seven great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2: PM from the graveside in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday at 1:00 PM George H.
