Vera S. McKinney was born on May 30, 1914 in Laurel, Mississippi and went to be with her heavenly father on May 23, 2017. She was predeceased by her loving husband, TJ McKinney (Mac), and her son, James T. McKinney. Vera is survived by her daughter, Kay Blount, and her two granddaughters, Courtney Blount, and Kristen Blount. Mrs. McKinney lived a long and fulfilled life which was full of spirit. Before she became a full time mother and housewife, Vera was a RN in Mississippi. She was a long standing member of the First United Methodist Church and will truly be missed on this earth. There will be a graveside service held at Forest Meadows Memorial Park East, 3700 SE Hawthorne Rd, Gainesville, FL 32641, on Friday, May 26, 2017 at 1pm.
