Mrs. Vera Lee Lewis Thomas, 92 formerly of Starke died in Tennessee on March 4, 2009. Mrs. Thomas was born in Starke, FL on November 21, 1916 to the late Emery C. and Magnolia Lewis. Mrs. Thomas and her late husband (Woodrow Lanier) operated Thomas Oil Company for many years. Her survivors include her children: Daughter Linda Sue Thomas Starling (Frank) of Goodlettsville, TN and Ronnie Thomas (Nancy) of Keystone Heights. Grandchildren, Shelley Starling Thornton, Jason Starling, Dennis Starling, Ron Thomas, Craig Thomas, and Branden Thomas. Great grandchildren: Anna Grace Thornton, Braden Thornton, Tyler Starling, Caleb Starling, Brylee Elyse Starling, Jordan Thomas, Kayla Thomas. Viewing will be held on Sunday, March 8th from 2 5 p.m. at the Jones-Gallagher Funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 9, 2009 at 11 Oclock in the Pine Level Baptist Church with the Reverends Frank Starling and Roman Alvarez officiating.
