Mr. Victor Lamar Smith, 60 of Melrose passed away at his home on Saturday, November 20, 2010. Lamar was born in Jacksonville on November 1, 1950 and had received his Bachelors degree in Education from the University of Florida. Prior to his retirement he was a Realtor for Century 21 in Keystone Heights and AM Track in Jacksonville. Lamar was a Spiritual person and avid outdoors man. He was preceded in death by his father Tommie Lamar Smith. His survivors are his mother, Nelda Harris of Melrose; a sister, Nelda Hoffmeyer (Dennis) of Keystone Heights; a brother, Michael Smith (Lisa) of Jacksonville; 2 nephews; Branden & Michael, and on grand niece; Baylee. A memorial service for Lamar will be held on Sat. Dec. 4, 2010 at 11:30 A.M. in the Keystone Community Church with Rev. Buddy Kalen officiating. Burial will be held at a later date.
