Virgil Wayne Horn

Mr. Virgil Wayne Horn, 88, of Keystone Heights, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Thursday, March 24, 2016. He was born on March 9, 1928 in Howard, Ohio, the sixth child out of nine to the late William Robert and Mary Burris Horn, and has been a resident of Keystone Heights for the past 35 years.Mr. Horn retired from the United States Marine Air Corps before retiring from Kimberly Clark in Southern California. He entered the Marine Air Corps at the end of WWII and left after the Vietnam War.He was preceded in death by his four brothers and is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 31 years, Joyce A. Horn(Blackburn) of Keystone Heights; children, Mary Lee Horn of Chesterfield, VA, James Els (Delores) of Claremore, OK, Joyce Els-Mears (Steve) of Osage Beach, MO, and Jeanine Lauria (Dean Reed) of Keystone Heights; four siblings, Eloise Beach (Wayne) of Mt. Vernon, OH, Dwight Horn (Sharlyn) of Canton, OH, Ronald Horn (Carolyn) of Arvada, CO, and Delores Lauderbaugh (John) of Jacksonville Also left behind are his 9 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; along with numerous other family members and friends.The family would like to invite family and friends to join them at 11:00 a.m. the Keystone Heights Cemetery on Memorial Day, May 30, 2016 to honor the memory of Virgil at the Memorial Day Ceremony.Arrangements are under the care of JONES-GALLAGHER FUNERAL HOME, 340 E.
