Obituary

Virginia "Virgie" Louvenia Padgett Bleasdale, age 95, of Keystone Heights Florida passed away on February 4, 2022 in Gainesville, Florida.Visitation will be held at Hope Baptist Church, 3900 SE State Road 100, Starke, Florida on February 10 from 10am-11am and funeral service will begin at 11am with Reverend Dr. Larry Strickland officiating. Burial will be at Forest Meadows Memorial Park EastVirginia was born in Brooker Florida to the late James William Padgett and Creasie Virginia Sweat Padgett on September 15, 1926. She graduated from Bradford High School in Starke Florida She worked at the Diana Shop in Gainesville, the Keystone Egg Factory, and retired as a seamstress from the sewing factory of Starke,She was strong in her faith and was blessed with a beautiful voice that she humbly shared in her praise and worship of the Lord as a member of the Church choir, and was an inspiration to so many when performing her solo specials at Church and during her nursing home visitations. Outside of Church her favorite activities included fishing, gardening, cheering the Florida Gators and Jacksonville Jaguars, watching Jeopardy and completing crossword puzzles "to keep her mind alert", and spending time with her family and friends playing cards and board games as often as possible. She loved her family.Virginia was preceded in death by her loving husband of almost 50 years Harry C. Bleasdale, Jr., brothers Lloyd, Coleman, Abril "AZ", Dewitt "Bud", and Everette Padgett, sisters Orene Cowart, and Cora Stokes Hilliard.She is survived by five children, Sondra Davis (John) of Worthington Springs, Virginia "Ginger" Gornto of Gainesville, Harry C. "Butch" Bleasdale III (Lisa) of Melbourne, Deborah "Dibble" Feagle (Joseph) of Alachua, and Bruce Bleasdale of Gainesville, 12 Grandchildren, Leanna (Keith), James (Nicole), Diana (Dusty), John Jr. "JJ" (Shannon), David Ian, Harry IV, Justin (Kamie), Josh, Creasie (Nick), Daniel, and Sarah, 23 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great-Great Grandchildren and one on the way, and innumerable nieces and nephews that all loved and admired her.
