Virginia Irene Herrmann Drechsler, 93, passed away on Tuesday May 14, 2019 at her home in Jacksonville, surrounded by family.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday May 20, 2019 at Assumption Catholic Church, 2403 Atlantic Blvd., with Fr. Jose Panthaplamthottiyil as Celebrant. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, 4300 Beach Blvd.She married Anthony August Drechsler in Chicago in 1947. After moving to Jacksonville, Florida they became parishioners of Assumption Catholic Church along with their 2 daughters.Virginia was born in Eichorn, Illinois on September 2, 1925 to Carl & Esther Herrmann. Her interests included quilting, St. Vincent de Paul, and traveling with her husband.Virginia was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Tony, in 2002 & by her brother, Bernie in 2018. She is survived by 2 daughters Mary Mauck (Dennis) & Chris Drechsler; her grandchildren Collin Craig Mauck (Melissa) and Darryl Anthony Mauck (Mary), and 8 great-grandchildren Pierce Anthony Mauck, Rachael Anne Mauck, Anthony Ian Mauck, Monique Olivia Mauck, Sydney Alexa Mauck, Audrey Catherine Mauck, Ethan Lucas Mauck, and Evie Lana Mauck and many extended family & friends.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Virginias name to the charity of one's choice.Arrangements are under the direction of George H.
