Virginia Barker Fleisher

Virginia Barker Fleisher , age 90, of Marietta, GA died Tuesday, April 19, 2016. Virginia was born in Lakeland, Ga but grew up in Jacksonville, Florida. She also lived in Decatur, GA and Altamonte Springs, FL before moving to Marietta, GA in 2009. She graduated from Andrew Jackson High School in Jacksonville, FL where she enjoyed being a majorette. Virginia enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, dancing and reminiscing through old photos. She is a member of the First United Methodist Church in Marietta, GA and former member of Terry Parker Baptist Church in Jacksonville, FL, Columbia Drive Baptist Church in Decatur, GA and First Baptist Church Winter Park in Winter Park, FL. She is preceded in death by husband of 65 years, James E. Fleisher, Sr.; her parents William and Elizabeth Barker; sisters, Mary Evelyn Kasel and Frances Randle; brother, Robert Barker. She is survived by her son, James E. Fleisher, Jr. (Suzanne) of Canton, Ga.; her daughter Kimberly Walker (Ben) of Marietta, Ga. ; two grandchildren, Stephanie Hunicke (Brian) of Longwood, FL and Stacy Fleisher of Miami, FL; one great grandson, Brooks Hunicke of Longwood, FL; 3 step grandchildren and her brother William Barker. Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel at George H. Hewell & Son Funeral Home, Jacksonville, FL on Saturday, April 23. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Wellstar Community Hospice or First Baptist Church Winter Park. Arrangements are under the direction of George H.
