Virginia Mask Lester Virginia Mask Lester, 80, passed away on Monday August 6, 2012 in Jacksonville. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday August 11, 2012 in Holiday Hill Baptist Church, 730 Mandalay Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32216 with Dr. Albert Byrd officiating. Virginia was born September 8, 1931 in Brooks, GA to J.B. Mask & Mary Matthews Mask. She received her Bachelors Degree from LaGrange College and her Masters Degree from Jacksonville University. Mrs. Lester was a longtime teacher in the Duval County School system. Mrs. Lester was a member of Delta Phi Delta Sorority and a longtime member of Holiday Hill Baptist Church. She was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling, playing bridge, and she was a member of several bridge clubs. Mrs. Lester was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marvin L. Buddy Lester, and sister-in-law Melba Lester. She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, Lynne L. Stanfield (Larry) & Sarah L. Sally Wilson (Rick); a son, John M. Lester; two grandsons, James Eubanks (Sarah) & Michael Stanfield; a great-granddaughter, Kayla Stanfield and two sisters-in-law, Edie Cowart & Jean Owensby.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to Community Hospice of N/E Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32257.Arrangements are under the direction of George H.
