Virginia Dixon Lewis Funeral services for Virginia Dixon Lewis, 87, who passed away on December 20, 2012, will be held Thursday at 1:00 PM in Wesley Fellowship United Methodist Church with Rev. Gary Tarleton officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-8 PM at George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4747 Main Street. Mrs. Lewis was born in Jacksonville, Florida and was a lifelong resident. She was a member of Wesley Fellowship United Methodist Church, Methodist Womens Association and Daughters of the Nile. She was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, the late Glenn Eugene Davis Sr. She found love again and was married to Glenn R. Lewis until his passing. Survivors include her daughter, Sandra Patterson (Tommy); 2 sons, Glenn Eugene Davis Jr. (Savannah) and Randall Vance Davis; 6 grandchildren, Randall Chad Davis, Brandon Lamar Davis, Karen Nicole Davis, Jesse Glenn Davis, Jill Gray, and Christie Russell; 4 great-grandchildren; Christopher Davis, Jonah Davis, Brianna Gray and Brandon Gray.
