Virginia Blanche Phillips Tyre, 87, ofAlachua,FLpassed away at her home on September 23, 2012. She was born inMicanopy,FLto John Dixon and Willie Mae Crumbly.Mrs. Tyre was of the Baptist faith and was retired as a cashier at Publix. She loved taking care of her family and enjoyed cooking and sewing. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ralph Ernest Phillips, Sr. and second husband, J.G. Tyre, daughter, Gayle and three grandchildren.She is survived by sons, Ralph Phillips of Daytona and Al Chaganis ofTallahassee, daughters, Angie Phillips of Alachua and Bonnie Chalmers of Alachua, nineteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
