Walter Joseph Gallagher, Jr., age 86, passed away on April 3, 2016 in Jacksonville. Hewas born in Albany, New York on February 6, 1930 to Walter Joseph Gallagher, Sr. &Catherine Durkin Gallagher. Mr. Gallagher served his country proudly in the UnitedStates Air Force. He later received his Bachelors Degree in Architecture from theUniversity of Florida. He was a longtime member of Prince of Peace Catholic Churchand was also the architect of the church. Mr. Gallagher is survived by his children Thomas Michael Gallagher (wife, Sara), Patrick Raymond Gallagher (wife, Malissa) and Anne C. Schroeder (husband, Paul), 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Gail Hancammon; his great friend & former wife, Vera C. Gallagher and many extended family members and friends.A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Prince ofPeace Catholic Church, 6320 Bennett Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32216 with Fr.
