Walter Raymond Hardison, age 75, passed away on December 11, 2018 in Jacksonville, FL. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday December 18, 2018 in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4747 Main Street, with Pastor Vic Castilleja officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Jacksonville National Cemetery.Mr. Hardison was born in Morehead City, North Carolina and was a resident of Jacksonville for most of his life. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served on the USS Saratoga (CVA 60). He was a member of the Baptist faith and was ordained as a Deacon. Mr. Hardison was preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years, the late Joan W. Hardison.
