Funeral services for Walter Sonne, 90, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 5, 2020 in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard, South. Burial will follow in Jacksonville National Cemetery. Born January 11, 1930 in Hamburg, Germany to Freida and Walter Sonne. Mr. Sonne died Friday, October 30, 2020 in Jacksonville. He served in the United States Army as a Sergeant during the Korean War and was retired Owner of a Car Rental Company. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Floria Virginia Rodriguez Sonne; a daughter, Audrey Sonne (Jeffrey) Lockard, both of Jacksonville; two sons, Walter Glen (Teresa) Sonne of Houston, Texas and Peter John Sonne of Honolulu, Hawaii; a sister, Erika (Wolfgang) Gassmann of Hamburg, Germany; a brother, Volger Ernst (Maria) Sonne of Malta; and three grandchildren..Funeral ServiceChapel of George H.
