A memorial service for Wanda Brown Anderson, 80, of Jacksonville, FL will be held in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard S., Jacksonville, FL 32216 on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Rocky Morris officiating. Interment of ashes will follow at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Cemetery, 4801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32207 at 2:30 p.m. Wanda loved her family with all of her heart and was always there for them. She loved attending ball games for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved visiting the beach and sitting on the balcony, enjoying her coffee while watching the waves and listening to the sounds of the ocean. Wanda was predeceased by her husband, Robert J. Anderson; father, James D. Brown; mother, Marie G. Brown and sister, Sandra B. Kersey. Wanda is survived by her children, Joel S. Anderson (Sharon), Sandra Lynn Phelps (Jody), James D. Anderson, Julie A. Ward (Steve) and Mark L. Anderson (Jennifer); sisters, Helen B. Wilkerson (Charles), Jean B. Stevens and Deborah L. Richards (Billy); her grandchildren, Joel Scott Anderson, Jr. (Rebecca), Matthew Anderson (Vanessa), Rebecca Phelps, Erica Phelps, Shelby Ward, Tanner Ward, Nicole Anderson and Tyler Anderson and numerous great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was also blessed with many good friends that always kept in touch with her.
