Wanda Whitaker Green

Mrs. Wanda Whitaker Green age 81, of Starke passed away Saturday, September 4, 2021, at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville. She was born January 29, 1940, in Letcher, Kentucky to the late George and Eva (Stidham) Whitaker. She was a homemaker and member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. She enjoyed genealogy, quilting, and had been known for selling Avon for many years in the area. Most of all she loved being with her family and especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Green leaves behind her loving and dedicated husband of 63 years Luther Green of Starke and their four children Christine Green and Tammy Green (Anne) all of Starke, Jesse Green (Cruz) of Carlsbad, New Mexico, and Max Green (Lisa) of Hobbs, New Mexico. Also left behind are her siblings Gene Whitaker of Lawtey, Greg Whitaker of Starke and Shirley Wilkerson of Graham. Mrs. Green was lovingly called "Grandma" by twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Graveside services for Mrs. Green will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 13, 2021, with Mr. Steve Barber officiating. Interment will be at Sapp Cemetery.
