Mr. Wayne Walter Sapp, 70, a lifelong resident of Starke passed away at the E.T. York Hospice Care Center in Gainesville on Thursday, May 3, 2012 following an extended illness. Mr. Sapp was born on February 12, 1942 in Starke to the late Jacob Cecil J.C. and Mildred (Brown) Sapp. Prior to Mr. Sapps retirement he was a State Inspector with the Department of Transportation in Gainesville with 33 years of dedicated service. Mr. Sapp was a member of the Pine Level Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and farming. Survivors are his wife of 47 years, Carolyn (Gann) and their daughter, Suzanne Sapp of Starke. He also leaves behind his brother and his wife Bobby and Agnes Sapp of Starke, nieces Karen Moncrief, Barbara Wuester; nephews: Robb Sapp, Randy Sapp, Mike Stanley, Alvin Stanley, Broderick Chavis, Alan Chavis, and Patrick Gann; numerous great nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Sapp will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in Pine Level Baptist Church with Pastor Terry Williamson officiating.
