Mrs. Wendy Anne Roundy was born in Guyana, South America on March 5, 1958. She later moved to the United States of America, grew up and lived Maryland and Jacksonville, Florida, until her peaceful passing on April 29, 2026, in Jacksonville Florida, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and quiet strength that touched everyone who knew her.
She was a devoted daughter, friend, and family member whose warmth and compassion made others feel seen and valued. She had a gentle spirit and a generous heart, always willing to lend a helping hand or offer a comforting word. Her presence brought light into the lives of those around her. She found joy in life's simple moments—time spent with loved ones, shared laughter, and creating memories that will be cherished forever. Wendy will be remembered for her sincerity, her resilience, and the deep care she showed to those she held dear.
Mrs. Wendy Roundy attended the University of Maryland at College Park, where she graduated and earned her Master's degree. She later married Mr. Richard Roundy and had two daughters Justina and Aleah. During her lifetime, Wendy worked as teacher, substitute teacher, real estate agent, home health aide and guidance counselor. She was employed in home health aide near the end of life.
Mrs. Wendy Anne Roundy will be deeply missed and forever remembered, she is survived by her husband Mr. Richard Roundy; daughters Justina Roundy, Aleah Lincey; grandchildren Nathan, Elijah and Jonah Lincey; brothers Aubrey, David and Owen Merchant-Dest; sister June Barton; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and a great-great niece and nephew, who will miss her.
Visitation will be from 6-8pm, Thursday May 7, 2026, at Moloney-Hewell Funeral Home, 4140 University Blvd. S., Jacksonville, FL 32216. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 8th at Basilica of The Immaculate Conception Church, 121 East Duval St., Jacksonville, FL 32202. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, 4300 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32207.
