William Randolph Adams (Randy), 82, of Alachua, FL, passed away on February 19, 2021 in Gainesville, FL.Visitation will be held atEvans Carter Funeral Home in High Springs, FLonFebruary 24, 2021 from 5-7pm.Funeral service will be held atNewnansville Cemetery in Alachua, FLonFebruary 25, 2021at1:00pm with ReverendDouglas FrazierofChurch of Christofficiating.There will also be a graveside viewing from 12:30 to 1:00pm on February 25, 2021.Randy was born inLive Oak, FL toQuintilla Faulkner Adams and Willie Henry AdamsonAugust 30, 1938. He went to high school atLargo High Schooland graduated in1955. He then joined the Army Reserves and served his country for six years being called to active duty during the Berlin Crisis. He worked as ameat cutter and managerforHitchcocksformany years along with numerous other companies in his life. He owned the Adams General Store between High Springs and Newberry in 1977 when he first moved to the area. He was involved inthe Alachua Church of Christ. He enjoyedtraveling, watching sports, genealogy, visiting friends, but most of all anything he could do with his family. He cherished his wife, Faith Adams, every day for over 60 years.Randy is preceded in death by his mom and dad, Quintilla and Willie Adams; siblings, Marie Jenkins Baggett, Maude Jenkins, Luke Jenkins, Levis Jenkins, Mary Berry, Joan Palmer Delpino, and Linda Lou Adams; and grandsons, Justin Douglas and Bruce Douglas. Randy is survived by hiswife,Mary Faith Adams of Alachua, FL; children, Pat Shiver, Theresa Douglas (Terry), Tina Murphy, Randolph "Randy" Adams (Kristie), Charlie Adams (Khrissy); grandkids, Jamie Douglas, Russell Douglas, Anthony Douglas, Cannon Murphy, Cody Murphy, Kaytlynn Adams, Hayleigh Adams; great grandkids, Garrett, Maddoxx, Cammill, Ellie, River, Sawyer, Austin, Amy, Sierra, Jayme; sibling, Lilla Kennedy.
