William Michael Doyle

William Michael "Mike" Doyle, 72, passed away at his home in Jacksonville on Monday, January 18, 2021. He was a loving father and grandfather, an avid golfer, and a devoted football fan of the Florida State Seminoles and the Jacksonville Jaguars. Mike is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Doyle Bass (Dirk), grandchildren Reagan Alexis Bass, John Cayden Bass, Payton Elizabeth Bass, and Gracyn Alisse Bass; his sister, Patty Doyle Vansant and several other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father James Edward Doyle, his mother Elizabeth Locke Doyle and his beloved wife, Shirley Brown.Mike graduated from Andrew Jackson High School in 1966 where he found his love for music, playing trumpet in the band. He served in the US Marine Corps and after his discharge in 1974, he began his career in the retail sales and marketing industry, retiring from Acosta in 2019.Mike will be remembered for his quick wit, sense of humor and generous spirit. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.Due to the ongoing pandemic, the family has chosen to hold a private memorial service..
