Mr. William Francis Bill Hickey age 89, of Keystone Heights passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at the Shands at Starke Hospital. Mr. Hickey was born November 3, 1923 in Brooklyn, New York to the late William and Mary (McGrady) Hickey and had served in the United States Army during World War II. He has been a resident of Keystone Heights for the past 13 years moving from the St. Augustine area, and before retiring, Mr. Hickey was an Expediter for the Northrop Grumman Corporation. He was also of the Catholic Faith, a Mason while living in New York, and he enjoyed taking cruises. His wife Roberta (Carlsen) Hickey of 50 years had preceded him in death, his son William Hickey had preceded him in death also. Survivors are his daughters; Kathleen Pater, husband Rob of Keystone Heights, Eileen Moros of St. Augustine; two sisters, Mary McCarthy of New York and Helen Carlock of St. Augustine. Also left behind are his four grandsons, and four great grand children. There are no scheduled services at this time.
