HUBBERSTYWilliam Gerald Hubbersty, 93, treasured husband, father, grandfather and brother, went to his heavenly home on November 6, 2021. Bill was born on May 20, 1928 in the UK and came to the United States in 1956, residing in Miami before moving to Jacksonville in 1969. He was a manufacturers representative for 40 years and retired in 1997. Bill was involved with prison ministry for many years, with a special interest in the families of inmates. He loved music, was a talented pianist and played in a jazz band in his youth.Bill is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Carolyn and Glenn Oken of Tampa, grandchildren, Grant Oken and Lauren Oken, extended family, Cory Monsour, Nicole Reagin (Chip) and Heather Ahrens (Greg), and other beloved family members in the US, UK, and UAE. He was preceded in death by his wife Nella and younger brother Bernard Hubbersty.In his last days, Bill expressed how thankful he was to the Lord for all of his blessings. Among those blessings were his many friends and family, both near and far, that brought him great joy throughout his life. A private service will be held at a later date.George H.
