William Mayberry

Mr. William Mayberry, Jr. 90, of Daytona Beach passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021, following an extended illness. He was born in Lawrence County, Pennsylvania May 28, 1931, to the late William and Eva (Wellhausen) Mayberry, Sr. and had served in the United States Air Force. Mr. Mayberry was employed as a Design Engineer by General Electric, the Apollo Program in Cape Canaveral, and retired from Lockheed Martin. He also held a Building Contractors License in Florida, Georgia, and Pennsylvania. Mr. Mayberry was a member of Westminster By-The-Sea Church in Daytona, and enjoyed being outdoors boating, traveling, and spending time with his family. His survivors are his wife of 69 wonderful years Ila Lee (Marion) Mayberry of Daytona Beach and their four children Alane M. Ramsey (Bill) of Marshall, North Carolina, William Mayberry III (Wanda L.) of Keystone Heights, Leslee A. Brown (Dr. Robert Brown) of Ft. Myers, and Lara L. Greer (Scott) of Marshall, North Carolina along with his 91 year old sister Alice Gribble of Orlando. Also left behind are ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and extended family members that will miss him dearly. A Celebration of Life for Mr. Mayberry will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 25, 2021, in the Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jason Stephens officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be Sunday, September 26, 2021, 11:00 a.m., at the Keystone Heights Cemetery.
