Memorial services for William V. McLaughlin Jr., 88, who passed away on April 20, 2016, will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4747 Main Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206, with Pastor Perry Fruscella officiating. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. McLaughlin was born in Jacksonville, Florida and was a graduate of Andrew Jackson High School. He attended the University of Florida in Gainesville and was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served as a Platoon Leader in the Korean War as a 1st Lieutenant. He had retired from American Express as a Quality Assurance Officer and later worked with his son Tom at Metro Rooter. Survivors include his 4 sons, William V. McLaughlin, III, Edward M.
