William N. Miller, Jr, 76, (Buddy aka Stumpy to his JEA buddies) of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on April 20th, 2019. Buddy proudly served in the United States Army/Air National Guard from 1960 to 1968. He went on to work for JEA for 30 years retiring in 1997. In his younger days, he enjoyed riding dune buggies, boating, fishing & camping at the Jetties. Buddy was also a music lover who spent many weekends at the Alimacani dancing and listening to his favorite band Palmer and Kaleel. Buddy was predeceased by his mother, Vonnie O. Gibson, his father William N, Miller, Sr. and the love of his life Grandma Margaret. He is survived by his son Mark Miller (Desiree), daughter Cindy Bollinger (Roger), grandchildren Chelsea Bollinger (Vernon), Miranda Subjinski (Paige), Nathan Miller, Jacob Bollinger, (3) great-grand children Wil, Easton and Grasea, and very special friends Gary and Mary Palmer. A memorial service celebrating Buddys life will be held at 2pm, Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Hewell & Sons Funeral Home, 4747 Main St. N, Jacksonville, FL 32206. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at NE Community Hospice for their loving care and support during his final days. Daddy/Papa. you will be missed, but not forgotten.
