William Roy Mitchelson, Sr., 87, died Sunday, March 18, 2018 in Jacksonville.A memorial funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday April 3, 2018 in the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception -Catholic Church, 121 E. Duval Street, Jacksonville, FL. Interment will follow at 12:30 in Jacksonville National Cemetery.Mr. Mitchelson served in the United States Army and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He was a retired engineer from the Atlantic Coastline Railroad and later retired after 15 years with the PGA Tour. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Patricia Marie Britt Mitchelson of Jacksonville; a daughter, Mrs. Paula Mitchelson (Christopher) Ervin of San Diego, California; a son, William Roy (Lara) Mitchelson, Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia; a sister, Mrs. Ann (Sam) Salter of Deerfield Beach, Florida; and a grandson, Blair Andrew (Lindsay) Mitchelson of Jacksonville.
