O'NEAL: Funeral services for Mr. William Ernest O'Neal Sr., 75, who passed away on September 26, 2024, will be held Thursday at 12 Noon from the graveside in Union Baptist Church Cemetery, Pitts, GA. Mr. Oneal passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Georgia and was a longtime resident of Jacksonville, Florida. At the age of 17 he joined the United States Marine Corp, He got injured and received a Purple Heart. He worked for Department of Transportation for about 10 years, He was Supervisor for Shaw when he was in his 30's. He even had worked on a farm. At one time he sold fruit to local schools, nursing homes and churches, He loved his family and will be dearly missed. Survivors include his wife, Karen Rowe O'Neal; 2 daughters, Tammy M. O'Neal, and Amanda M. Clark; 2 sons, William E. O'Neal Jr., and James Madison O'Neal; 2 sisters, Peggy Giddens (Larry) and Ruth Swieczkowski (Gary); 1 brother, Wendell O'Neal (Bonnie).
