William James Sutton

Mr. William James (Jimmy) Sutton age 72, peacefully left this world on July 16, 2018. He was born in Jacksonville on March 4, 1946, to Jesse James Sutton and Mary Lou Woodham and was raised by his mother and father Thomas Edward Woodham. Jimmy had been a longtime resident of Kingsley Lake and Jacksonville before moving to Reading, PA 10 years ago. After graduating from Bradford High School in 1966, he worked for Winn Dixie and Albertsons in grocery retail and also worked at Sawyer Gas and Port Consolidated Gas in Jacksonville as a driver. Jimmy was friendly, outgoing and he would help anyone in need; he also loved his family and cherished all his friends.In addition to his fathers Jesse Sutton and Thomas Edward Woodham and his mother Mary Lou Woodham he was also preceded in death by his sisters Marilyn Woodham Pearce and Linda Lee Sutton and his brother Raymond Wayne Woodham. Jimmy is survived by his wife of 48 years Alice Rigdon Sutton; a son William James (Jimmy) Sutton, II; grandchildren William James (Will) Sutton, III, Isabella (Bella) Sutton, Suniva Smith, Angelique Smith and great grandchild Julianna Margolla. He is also survived by two sisters Kelly Woodham and Debbie Nelson (Robert); two brothers John Thomas Woodham (Barbara) and Jesse Sutton; a sister-in-law Laura (Wayne) Woodham; a brother-in-law Jack Pearce and his stepmother Connie Sutton as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles and extended family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Graveside 3:00 p.m., Saturday, November 17, 2018, Kingsley Lake Cemetery, 6289 Mary Dot Lane, Starke, FL 32091. All family and friends are invited to attend.
