Memorial services for Willie Leon Griffis, 75, beloved husband and father, will be held at 10:00A.M. Friday, November 20, 2015, in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard, South with Dr. Terry N. Collins of Southpoint Baptist Church officiating. Born August 23, 1940 in Kville, Georgia, to Easter and Willie Griffis, Mr. Griffis died Thursday, November 12, 2015 in Jacksonville, Florida. He was a retired Optician from United Optical; was a member of Riverside Park United Methodist Church, an avid Florida Gator fan, and enjoyed playing golf and tennis. Survivors include his wife Mrs. Susan Card Maley Griffis of Jacksonville; a daughter, Leslee Griffis Keller of Green Cove Springs, FL; two sons, John Gregory (Angela) Griffis of Jacksonville and Paul David Griffis of Green Cove Springs, FL; two sisters, Sheila Diane Griffis Miller and Vernelle Griffis Poore both of Roswell, Georgia; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren..MemorialFriday, November 20, 201510:00 AM Chapel of George H.
