Willie Mae Ponsell Ponsell, Willie MaeMrs. Willie Mae Ponsell, 85, passed away on December 28, 2011. She was born September 26, 1926 in Millwood, GA the daughter of Cecil and Lillie Bordeaux Holt. Mrs. Ponsell was preceded in death by her husband Raymond E. (Buddy) Ponsell in 1989 and her youngest son, Gary H. Ponsell in 2008. She is survived by her son, Harold Ponsell (Tish) and 5 brothers, Johnny Holt (Hilda), Allie Holt (Rhoda), Cecil Holt (Lucille), Earlie Holt (Brenda) and Ormand Holt; five grandchildren, Susan Ponsell, Casee Barber, Stephanie Fassero (Martin), Lindsey Ponsell and Gary Ponsell, Jr.; 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard, South, with Reverend Earlie Holt of Fitzgerald, GA officiating. Interment will follow in Arlington Park Cemetery, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, FL 32211.
