Mr. Willis Dean "Sonny" Brewer, Sr. age 74, of Starke passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014 at his residence following a brief illness.Born on December 26, 1939 in Columbus, OH, he was the son of the late Nathan and Ethel (Graham) Brewer.Prior to retirement he was employed with the Department of Correction as a Correctional Officer. After retirement he worked as a site attendant for Bradford County Solid Waste Department.He was of the Baptist faith and served with Florida National Guard in the 1960s.He was pre-deceased by his wife Virginia Ann (Bashman) Brewer and his son: Donald Lee Brewer.His survivors include his daughters: Melva Pirtle, of Hilliard, OH and Mary Randall of Starke. His son: Willis D. Brewer Jr. of Starke. His siblings: Betty Slone of Johnstown, OH, Joyce Moore of Circleville, OH, and Beverly LaForce of VA., and his companion; Linda Harrell of Starke, eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.Viewing will be held on Thursday evening at the JONES-GALLAGHER FUNERAL HOME, 620 E.
