Mrs. Winifred "Winnie" C. Drury age 91 of Starke passed away Sunday, March 23, 2025, at Shands Hospital in Gainesville following a brief illness. She was born December 27, 1933, in Woodbine, Georgia to David F. and Ella Mae (Miller) Cottle. Mrs. Drury was employed with the Camden County Health Department for 38 years before retiring. After moving to Starke, she joined First Baptist Church where she was an active member, being a dedicated prayer warrior and member of JoAnn Hatchers Sunday School Class. She liked hummingbirds, traveling to the mountains, and she had a sweet tooth for her chocolate, but most of all she loved her friends and family and never met a stranger. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Edgar Cottle, twin brother Wilton "Buddy" Cottle, Marion Cottle, and sister Shirley Moore. She leaves behind nieces, nephews, and a host of great and great-great nieces and nephews. The funeral service for Mrs. Drury will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 27, 2025, in the First Baptist Church with Pastor Harry Hatcher officiating.
