Ms. Yoshiko Omoda Johnston of Keystone Heights passed away FridayDecember 7, 2018, at St. Vincents Hospital in Middleburg at the age of 87. Ms. Johnston was born May 12, 1931, in Nagoya, Japan and later moved to the United States to start her family. Ms. Johnston was a loving Mother,Grandmother and Great Grandmother and friend. She was of the Catholic faith and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was a retired seamstress and her hobbies included shopping for her family, bird watching, and her favorite pastime, walking on the beach collecting sharks teeth. Ms. Johnston was known by everyone for her youthfulness that she exuded inside and out. Ms. Johnston leaves behind five children, four grandchildren, and one great grandchild; daughter Elena Hunter of Maitland, daughter Brenda Finn (George Browning) of Starke, daughter Dana Ashcroft (Kevin) of Jacksonville, son Benjamin "Ben" Johnston Jr. (Mary Ellen) of Jacksonville, daughter Mary Morris (Paul) of Keystone Heights, granddaughter Lauren Buchman (Michael) of Leesburg VA, grandson Teddy Harkin of Ft. Lauderdale, grandson Matthew Harkin (Selena) of Keystone Heights, grandson J.C. Pinckard of Troy, AL, and her great-granddaughter Harper Grace Buchman. She also left behind is her beloved puppy Trouble, who she loved to spoil with treats. A memorial service for Ms. Johnston will be held at a later date.
